By now you must have gathered that in the instance of a client initiating the design of an ornament, we reserve the honour of naming it after her. Mahira, the Riya choor, and now this pretty shelly-type necklace are all named after their creative owners.
In this case we effected a reverse customization in that the necklace had to be matched to our Naksha Kanbala ( Facebook Post on 9th July,2013 ) without in any way dulling the effect of those earrings.
So, what we did was choose a versatile form that could be allowed to hang down a bit or be worn closely around the neck. Then we combined styles : a pati har on top ; a three strand shelly around the sides ; a full Naksha Kanbala holding centre stage ; three padma roundels on raised frames to hold all this in place.
The result, an enchanting hodgepodge, is quite a beauty and a rare case of perfect balance from complete dissonance.
Handcrafted in natural yellow 22K gold, an eclectic aristocratic jewel guaranteed to set the birds singing.
